“Their love of Zinfandel from Old Vines caused them to seek out some of the best vineyard sites in California.”
Planted in 1973, the Creekside Block of the Bar 49 Vineyard lies in the middle of Chiles Valley located in the Vaca Mountains in the Northeast corner of Napa Valley. Warm temperatures, dry farmed vines and low yields lend a bold berry flavor and fine grained structure to the Zinfandel grapes.
The Creekside Block, Bar 49 vines provide fruit with a deep garnet color, lush textures, and aromas of blackberry and blueberry. The berry flavors are enhanced by subtle oak that provides a hint of spice and a long finish.
