2004 Medusa Friends and Family Blend Old Vine Zinfandel
Story
During the release party for Medusa Wines, it was decided that the owners would allow their friends and family to create their own blend to be released. So each Rob, Lydia, Patti and Paul stood in front of an unmarked barrel and took note as to who liked which vineyard best. At the end it was an even decision, so the blend ended up being 25% of each Creekside Block, Pig Pen, Lover’s Lane and Henry’s House.
Tasting Notes
The combination of all four vineyards allows us to show the great characteristics in one big, beautifully balanced wine. Rich flavors of brambleberry jam glide over the palate into flavors of roasted coffee and cherry, followed by an elegant touch of black pepper on the finish.
